Make sure to do the following:
Have contractor complete a W-9 form to retained for your records.
Provide contractor a 1099 form. Make a copy for your records once completed.
In your agreement, inform contractor of the following:
1. Start and end dates,
2. Services provided,
3. Rate of compensation
